By the grace and powers of Jesus Christ, we take the following steps to sobriety:

1.  Honesty with ourselves.  Admit the control alcohol and drugs have over our lives.  Admit our lives are unmanageable and destructive to ourselves and others.  Admit only with the Lord's help we will be able to achieve sobriety.

2.  Honesty with Jesus.  Acknowledge we are loved by Jesus and have eternal value and worth as human beings.  Acknowledge the condition of our lives is far removed from the abundant life Jesus offers us.  Seek to be restored to a right relationship with God by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of our lives.   Ask to be filled with God's Holy Spirit.

3.  Honesty with others.  Admitd our desstructive lives have affected and deeply hurt the lives of others.  Search our lives for an unforgiveness we may have towrd others and seek to forgive them.  Ask for forgiveness to each person whom we have wronged.

4. Commitment to the Tabitha House program.  Ask for and accept the help of others.  Attend church services and bible studies weekly.  Learn and apply principles beging taught at these services.

5. Commitment to a Christian growth.  Identify destructible habits and influences in our lives.  Avoid and learn to say no to places and people whose influences would be hazardous to our sobriety.  Establish a new lifestyle in the area of personal growth, family relations, friendship, work and personal health.

6. Commitment to a new way of thinking.  Idnetify negative thoughts, feelings and attitudes.  Renew our minds by submitting to the Lordship of Christ, prayers, bible study and fellowship.  Guard our minds by thinking on things which are pure, positive and good report.

7. Commitment to helping others.  Provide care and support for those with drug related problems.  Develop and grow in bearing one another's burdent.   Take seriously the commitment to pray one for another on a regular basis.
